Nightwish and the Deluge

I don't remember when drawing a traditional art took me as much time as this (about 4 hours, or sth).

NOW, LISTEN.
It's not that I don't like Anette Olzon (actually, Amaranth was the very first Nightwish song, I was obsessively listening to ). And Tuomas has chosen her to be in the band, so I respect this decision ^^ The role of the victim in this pic just suited her the best

This idea came to me when I was reading Sienkiewicz's The Deluge. It's about war between Poland and Sweden (more info here: [link]). I thought, Anette is a Swedish, so if Nightwish went back in time, she would have some serious problems with Polish sarmatians (a kind of nobility living at the times of the Deluge) xD
At the pic, they are chasing her with swords. Not historically probable, but I was too lazy to look for historical references. Yeah, Leonardo da Vinci was performing illegal autopsies to draw human body correctly and I'm too lazy to look for a ref on the Internet At least, the costumes are good (I hope so ).
The nobility is screaming "Fight the Swedish" and singing famous Polish folk song "Hej, sokoły!" xD

Nightwish prevails.
